Fajita Republic, the high-concept Mexican restaurant on the East Beltline, has closed it door for good. It was a favorite for Taco Tuesdays, happy hours, and Cinco de Mayo, so what happened?

Turns out, that there were a lot of regulars coming in to the restaurant often, but it just didn't see the foot traffic that the owners had hoped for.

JK&T Wings Inc. had opened the restaurant, hoping to turn it into a chain. But, this was the first time that the owners had looked to form their own chain (the company currently owns 42 total Buffalo Wild Wings location across the country, most of which are in Michigan).

Most patrons found out about the closing from a sign posted on the restaurant's front door.

The 50 employees that were still employed at Fajita Republic when it closed its doors for good were offered jobs at JK&T's Buffalo Wild Wings locations.
