Hope Network is kicking off Autism Awareness month by hosting a bridge walk led by Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley across the Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids to promote awareness of Autism Spectrum disorders.

Autism Spectrum disorders affect 1 in 68 children. Today's bridge walk will help raise awareness and funds for Hope Network's autism scholarship fund.

The free bridge walk is from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The first 500 attendees will receive a Hope Network t-shirt and bracelet.

Lieutenant Governor Calley, Grand Rapids Mayor George Heartwell and Dr. Mira Krishnan of Hope Network will speak beginning at 5:10 p.m.

The walk starts at 5:30 p.m.
