Highway Driving Will Drive you Nuts

Highway driving will drive you nuts. Construction, of course is nuts, bad weather, sure, but really, it's other drivers. Everyone, but you of course, is out of their mind!

I was on a road trip this past weekend with heavy traffic, and while watching other stupid drivers, I made some mental notes of my biggest "honk -offs" on the road.

Sure, we have had our major share of construction around here, and we can't be pleased. We complain when the roads aren't fixed, then we complain when they're fixing them. The road guys can't win on this one.

But let's address other drivers. There truly are some out-of-their-mind wacky drivers on the road, in their own little world, or who think they own the world, and I swear, I met them all.

Gripe #1 - You're cruising at about 76 mph on the expressway, and someone comes zooming up behind you and stays on your tail. You're in the right lane, the left lane is open, and they don't move, they just tailgate.

Gripe #2 - Again, you're cruising at about 76 mph, come up on a slower moving car and begin to pass on the left. They speed up, so, you keep your speed and swing back behind them, they slow down, and it begins all over again.

Gripe 3# - You're cruising along on the expressway and someone enters from the entrance ramp at about 40 mph, and stays there. Arrgghh! So, you swing to the left to pass and, guess what, they speed up. Arrgghh!

More? There are a million of them. What about you? What honks you off on the road?
