Many across West Michigan received an early taste of winter this morning.

Snowfall totals weren't much, but the heavy snow knocked out power for many.

Those near Lake Michigan in Allegan and Ottawa counties were the hardest hit.

About 3,500 Consumers Energy customers in Allegan and Ottawa counties lost power after the heavy snow took down tree limbs and power lines.

Below is a map showing those who were still without power as of 9:45 this morning.

  • Dark blue areas indicate 1 - 50 customers without power.
  • Purple areas indicate 51 - 200 customers without power.
  • Orange areas indicate 201 - 1,000 customers without power.
