Hazardous swimming conditions are expected along the Lake Michigan shoreline Monday night and Tuesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Advisory. The forecast calls for 4ft. to 8ft. waves from St. Joseph all the way up the Lake Michigan coastline to Ludington. Conditions will be worse on Tuesday during the day, but will diminish late Tuesday night.

Rip currents, longshore currents, and structural currents are expected. Conditions will be the worst on the north side of any piers or break walls. They are also expecting for water temperatures to dip down into the 50s in some areas along the lakeshore.
