How cool is this. Coit Creative Arts Academy, Grand Rapids Public Schools, is a recipient of a “Keys + Kids” grant from the VH1 Save the Music Foundation in partnership with singer/songwriter/pianist Sara Bareilles. The grant funds the purchase of a new electronic piano package for the school. The package is worth $10,000.

Grant winners were announced on VH1’s “Big Morning Buzz Live” by host Nick Lachey. Watch the video of the announcement here: http://vimeo.com/96935232.

Coit is one of only 10 schools in the country and the only in Michigan to receive the inaugural Keys + Kids grant.

VH1 Save The Music Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to restoring instrumental music education in America's public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child's complete education.
