Grandville Softball's magical Little League World Series tournament run came to an end tonight with a 6-0 loss to Southwest.

A 6-run third inning for Southwest (Helotes, Texas) was the difference. It turned out to be the only runs scored in the game. Grandville had one hit and struck out 12 times.

The game was shown nationally on ESPN2.

A disappointing night, but nothing disappointing about this team or tournament. Grandville's performance this summer has been nothing short of amazing.

Grandville's last game will be on Wednesday, August 17, at 5PM EST in Portland, Oregon against East (Robbinsville, New Jersey). East lost to Southeast (Salisbury, North Carolina) in the other semifinal.
