I have a couple friends who are real estate agents and they have been echoing the same thing.  However, I have had a cute little house next door, more than reasonably priced, that has been for sale for over a year now; so these statistics do make me wonder?  But the statisticians say the West Michigan housing market is seeing some healthy signs.  The number of housing listings went down 19% last month. Compare that to an 8% decrease from last year.  So does that mean the houses were actually sold or does it mean they were "rented or leased out"?

Numbers and statistics can be deceiving at times.

Real estate agents are saying the market is ideal for first time home buyers and sellers are seeing a bigger return than just a few years ago.  But, only time will tell.
