Grand Rapids Welcomes First Babies Of 2014

Congratulations are in order for the first babies of the new year in Grand Rapids!

The new year brings big change for a lot of people.

Eating and living healthier are great improvements, but nothing compares to the change and joy that comes with adding another member to your family.

Meet Grand Rapids' first newborns of 2014.

WZZM reports: 

• Alana Raychelle Melton was born to Michelle and Raymond Melton of Kentwood at 1:59 a.m. Wednesday, January 1 at Spectrum Health. Alana weighed 7 pounds 13 ounces.
• Oliver Fox Geglio was born at 2:11 a.m. Wednesday to Monica and Bill Geglio of Allendale at Metro Health Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 21 inches long.
• At Mercy Health Saint Mary's Hospital, Yhonathan Leonardo Cortes was born to proud parents Mavy Vasquez and Miguel Cortes at 8:31 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 20 inches long.
