The Grand Rapids Symphony closes it 82nd Season with a collaborative collage concert.

This weekend, at 8 pm, Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19, David Lockington will lead two performances of "Heavens Above, Earth Below," along with combining dances of the Grand Rapids Ballet Company, two world premieres - one a tribute to former First Lady Betty Ford - and the epic "Alpine Symphony."

Every aspect of this concert presents a surprise for the audience.  Lockington said, "I've always loved this kind of collage program where you are on the edge of your seat, wondering what is going to happen next."

Tickets start at $18 and are available at the Symphony office, weekdays 9 am to 5 pm, 300 Ottawa NW, Suite 100 (across from the Calder), or by calling 616-454-9451, Ext. 4.  Tickets are available at the DeVos Place Box Office weekday 10 am to 6 pm, or on the day of the concert beginning two hours prior to the performance.  They may also be purchased through Ticketmaster by calling 800-982-2787, and on-line at www.grsymphony.org.
