Grand Rapids Symphony Presents ‘Holiday Pops’

The Grand Rapids Symphony’s "Nestle Gerber Holiday Pops" helps bring joy to the holiday season with Christmas music and performances.

“The Christmas season always begins in my heart when I conduct the ... 'Holiday Pops,'” said conductor John Varineau, who leads the five-concert run tonight through Dec. 7 in DeVos Performance Hall.

The concert includes traditional elements audiences have come to expect from this holiday favorite, spiced up with some delightful new twists.

Part of the Symphony’s Fox Motors Pops Series, the "Nestle Gerber Holiday Pops" concert features the Grand Rapids Symphony and the Grand Rapids Symphony Chorus. Select performances also showcase the Grand Rapids Symphony Junior Youth Chorus.

The holiday concerts present a mix of traditional and popular favorites, and offer a variety of large, colorful works and more intimate, touching musical moments and, of course, an appearance by Santa Claus.
