Home to award-winning breweries and voted "Best Beer Scene" in the USA, Grand Rapids has a lot going for it in the craft beer department.

Craft beer lovers here in Beer City USA also have have the opportunity to learn more about the science and history beer at the Grand Rapids Public Museum

GRPM is offering "Beer Explorers" classes in partnership with Founders Brewing Company.

The January 12 class will explore how beers and desserts work together. Fox 17 reports that the class will pair Founders beer and Robinette's doughnuts. Attendees will get four samples of Founders beer and four Robinette's doughnuts, allowing for 16 different taste combinations.

At the February 16 class, will explore the process of Barrel Aging and how different factors affect the taste and quality of the beer.

Tickets are $8 for members and $18 for non-members and includes general admission to the museum. A cash bar will available too.
