The Grand Rapids Police are currently searching for a woman with mental health issues who they say may have fallen into the Grand River.

Kimberly Marie Haymon, 55, was last seen getting off of a bus at Fulton and Division around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday. She is schizophrenic and does not have her medication.

Officers responded to the Gerald R. Ford Museum after receiving a report that a purse had been found on the walkway along the river. The walkway had footprints leading to the river that appeared to lead into the river, but no footprints were found leaving the area.

Police are conducting a search along the river and surrounding area.

Haymon is an African American woman, 5'2" tall and approximately 170 lbs. She was last seen wearing a thick skull cap with the word 'Nerd' written on it, a brown knee-length winter coat, a green sweater, and brown winter boots.

Anyone who may have seen Haymon or who has any information as to her whereabouts is asked to call the Grand Rapids Police Department at (616) 456-3604.
