Grand Rapids’ New Basketball Team Announces Final Team Name Choices

Grand Rapids' newest basketball team is one step closer to having a team name.

Today, the GR D-League basketball team announced the final choices in the search for a team name.

Voting is now open to help decide.

The final team name choices are:

• Blue Racers
• Chairmen
• Drive
• Horsepower

You can also share your comments on the choices. For example, if you think Chairmen is an odd choice (like I do) this would be the place to mention it.

My favorites are Blue Racers and Drive. Horsepower reminds me too much of the old Pistons teal horse head jerseys which have made more than one "worst jersey" list.
