The son of music and film stars Antonio Aguilar and Flor Silvestre, Pepe Aguilar began his career at the age of three and has grown to become a star in his own right. In addition to producing such Latin stars as Julieta Venegas, Lupita D' Alessio and Ely Guerra, Aguilar has proven to be a pure musician, combining the traditional ranchera and mariachi genres with rock and pop music to form his own, unique sound.

Aguilar has sold over 13 million albums, and has earned four Grammy awards, four Latin Grammy awards, a Billboard award for Musical Legacy and 13 Lo Nuestro Awards. Aguilar became the first Latino singer to perform in two of Los Angeles, California’s legendary venues, the Hollywood Bowl and the Kodak Theater, and he was later given the keys to the city. In addition, Aguilar received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012, and currently has his own exhibit, Pepe Aguilar…La Leyenda Continúa, on display at The Grammy Museum until May of 2015.
