Grand Rapids Downtown Market Announces Bakery [Video]

One of the most exciting parts about spring and summer in West Michigan this year will be the opening of Downtown Market in Grand Rapids.

Today, Downtown Market announced a bakery will be joining them this summer.

Shelby Kibler is a former manager at the famous Zingerman's in Ann Arbor.  He will be bringing his own project, Field and Fire, to Downtown Market.

Field and Fire is described as a "high-end artisan bakery."

Kibler said:"The food scene in Grand Rapids is flourishing, with new craft breweries and farm-to-table restaurants, which makes it a great market for my style of artisan baking. Everything will be baked fresh, on-site, every morning. Imagine baskets filled with warm, crusty loaves right from the oven, crackling as they cool, it will add to the complete sensory experience within the Market."
