Grand Rapids Diocese Announces Details About Ordination Of New Bishop
Walkowiak comes from Ohio and will take over for Bishop Walter Hurley. Bishop Hurley has reached the mandatory retirement age of 75.
The Diocese of Grand Rapids has announced details about the upcoming ordination of Bishop-elect Walkowiak.
The ordination and installation will take place during a Mass at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew at 2:00pm on June 18, which is also the Bishop-elect’s 60th birthday.
The Mass will be a ticketed event. Each parish in the diocese will have a limited number of tickets available to them.
