Grand Rapids D-League Basketball Affiliate Announces Team Name
The Grand Rapids D-League professional basketball team, an affiliate of the Detroit Pistons, has announced their team name.
The Grand Rapids D-League basketball team will be known as the Grand Rapids Drive.
The team announced four finalists for possible team names on May 1: Blue Racers, Chairmen, Drive, and Horsepower.
Fans were encouraged to vote for their favorites, but many were less than impressed with the four options.
A few pothole jokes are to be expected, but Grand Rapids Drive is a good choice.
