A special gift from Meijer has opened a new opportunity for art lovers in West Michigan.

"Meijer Free Tuesdays" means everyone can enjoy free admission every Tuesday at the Grand Rapids Art Museum!

The sponsorship will last for two years, giving many opportunities for all to take advantage.

Regular admission costs are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors/students, $5 for ages 6-17, and free under 6.

Admission is now free for everyone on Tuesdays.

Grnow.com has more:

The gift supports free admission for the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each Tuesday for the next two years, encouraging new and returning visitors to explore the galleries and take advantage of tours and other programs the Museum offers on these dates.

"Our father was passionate about art, and believed it should be available for everyone to enjoy and discover," said Hank Meijer, co-chairman of the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based retailer. "We are pleased to honor him by offering Meijer Free Tuesdays at the Grand Rapids Art Museum so that others can learn, interpret and discover culture through a different lens."

Looking forward to another fun, affordable way to enjoy summer in West Michigan!
