What an exciting time I had this noon, attending the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation luncheon at the J.W. Marriott.

Why was it exciting?  Jack Nicklaus was there!

Nicklaus was a close friend of President Ford, and they played golf many, many times in celebrity tournaments, outings, and privately.

In celebrating, what would have been the Presidents 100th birthday, Jack had a conversation with Steve Ford, son of the President, at the luncheon along with 700 of their close, personal friends.

In that conversational style many wonderful stories were told along with Jack's wisdom about golf, and life.

Before the luncheon, I attended a news conference that turned out to be an up-close and more personal look at Jack Nicklaus.  Here is just a clip.

The highlight of the afternoon?  I, shamelessly got Nicklaus' autograph!  I happen to catch him as he, and wife Barbara,  were getting into an SUV limo with security all around, and he stopped to chat with us.  So.....I handed him my program and he signed it!  Class!
