The world famous Harlem Globetrotters are coming back to Grand Rapids in January 2014!  Kind of a neat thing they're doing on this tour - fans get to choose which rules the team plays by in each hometown.

It's called the "Fans Rule" tour.  You get to pick the new game-changing rules that the team will play by in GR.  Just CLICK HERE to choose the rules!

They've done this before, but their 2014 season has some rule options that haven't been used before.

* Hot Hand Jersey – Both teams will have a “Hot Hand Jersey” they can pass among each other.  The player who is wearing this jersey will receive double points on made baskets.

* Make or Miss – The quarter begins with only two players on the court for each team.  When a team scores, a teammate may enter the game. When they miss, the player missing the shot must leave the court, leaving his or her teammates shorthanded.

* Trick Shot Challenge – Via three challenge flags per team, each coach can challenge the other team to make a trick shot. If the team makes the trick shot, they earn five points. If they miss, the other team receives five points.

The game will be Sunday, January 26th, 2014 at 2pm at Van Andel Arena.  Tickets start at $16 and available at Van Andel Arena and DeVos Place box offices, Ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster outlets or at 800-745-3000.

And don't forget, right after the games, Globetrotter stars stay on the court for autographs and photographs with fans. Talk about a busy schedule!  The Globetrotters will play close to 300 games in 250 cities in 47 states, six Canadian provinces and Puerto Rico before they wrap up in 2014.  I'm winded just thinking about it!
