One of the state governments of Germany definitely does not "Like" Facebook.

The state of Schleswig-Holstein in the north of Germany has banned Facebook for folks in that region, citing privacy concerns. They have declared that all fan pages based there must come down and the "Like" plugin must be removed from all websites as well. According to Digital Trends, those who don't comply could be fined 50,000 Euros.

The Data Protection Commissioner's office has stated that Facebook "...infringes German and European data protection law."
