What is this news about the subsidy ending?  Usually we see gas prices rising because of something has has happened in the gulf or because the price of a barrel of oil has risen.  This time, it's something different.  This gas hike is happening because congress declined to renew a 30 year old federal subsidy for ethanol.  It expired on Sunday.  Gas prices are expected to permanently rise by 4.5 cents a gallon.  All of this is nickle and dime-ing America to death, can you feel it?  Was the subsidy expiring by accident or just another way to make Americans pay higher prices on their already tight and stretched budget.
