Fun With the Public Museum’s Digital Scavenger Hunt

Now, you can become a Museum Explorer at the Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) through a special digital scavenger hunt experience. Visitors can utilize the free Goosechase application to compete in special missions throughout the GRPM, earning points to win prizes. How cool is that?

Through this app experience, visitors are invited to explore features of the GRPM they may not have experienced before, just like the National Geographic explorers have in the Museum’s newest exhibit Earth Explorers. The app also gives visitors a chance to explore the Museum’s digital Collections. The application is free to download, and participants have a chance to win one of four contests throughout the month, with one lucky winner going home with a Grand Prize at the end of June.

Simply download the Goosechase app at goosechase.com or the App Store (iphone) and Google Play store (android) and join their Goosechase game titled "GRPM Explorers."

Those who accumulate the most points will be entered to win gifts from local sponsors. Prizes include gift cards from local restaurants and retail outlets, such as Black Heron Kitchen and Bar, free bike tune-ups at Switchback Gear Exchange, free GRPM family four packs including admission, planetarium and carousel ride tickets and more!

One visitor who participates in the GRPM Explorers program will become the Grand Prize Winner! The visitor with the MOST points at the end of the month, from all four contests will win their own Earth Explorers package from Switchback Gear Exchange, including a new Kelty Backpack and other essentials for exploring in Michigan. All points will be tracked and accumulated using the GooseChase App.

Visitors will be available to participate in four contests over the course of the month of June, one contest beginning each week. June 3rd – 9th, 10th - 16th, 17th – 23rd and 24th - 30th.

• Register for an account
• Join the game by searching for "GRPM Explorers" from the games page within the app.
