Saturday, July 13, Walt Dairy Farm in Coopersville will be hosting a special Breakfast on the Farm.

In addition to the all-ages breakfast, attendees can take a self-guided tour and learn more about life on a farm.

Breakfast on the Farm features Michigan-made products and runs from 9:00am - Noon.  Tours last until 1:00pm.  Walt Dairy Farm is at 8099 Arthur Street in Coopersville.

The event is free but breakfast requires a ticket.  See a list of where to get tickets here.

Their progressive family operation dates back to 1932, at this present location, and has grown over the years.  Arlyn and Kathy are the third generation to farm on the family homestead.

Today the Walt’s milk 430 cows two times a day and grow corn and alfalfa on 1200 acres.

Their cow herd averages 25,000 pounds of milk per year.  This equates to each cow producing about 9.5 gallons of milk per day.
