Founders Brewing Co. stopped by the River studios today with an exclusive first tasting of their upcoming ArtPrize beer Mosaic Promise.

Founders ArtPrize-inspired beer, Mosaic Promise, will premiere at a ticketed event on August 20 at Founders Brewing Co. The first bottling just came off the line on Saturday, August 16.

Mosaic Promise will be available to the general public at Founders taproom and most locations on September 13. A few locations may have special releases on September 9.

Mosaic Promise will be released in Grand Rapids, Chicago, New York, Ann Arbor, Detroit, and more.

Founders Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki and Lead Guitar/Production Planning/Inventory & Logistics specialist Jason Heystek stopped by the River studios to introduce the beer. It was also their first taste.

Mosaic Promise is made with one malt, Golden Promise, and one hop, Mosaic. It is 5.5% ABV and 50 IBUs.

The Mosaic hop gets it's name from the wide variety of flavors that it delivers. Those flavors are evident in Mosaic Promise. I specifically noticed a nice pine flavor. Jason described the beer as "florally fruity".

The beers Founders brews for ArtPrize are specialty one-time brews that are meant to be enjoyed by all. The alcohol level is kept low to keep drinkability high.

It's the second straight year Founders has produced a beer specifically for ArtPrize. Last year's beer was Inspired Artist Black IPA.

Inspired Artist Black IPA was good, but am a much bigger fan of this year's release. Mosaic Promise was very good.

Looking forward to a chance to enjoy a Mosaic Promise at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids!
