Next Thursday, December 18, the much anticipated "Found Footage Festival" returns to the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts at 7:30 pm. Volume 7 of the live comedy and screening event features unusual and humorous clips from VHS videotapes gathered from thrift stores, garage sales, warehouses, and dumpsters throughout the United States.

Currently on a nationwide tour with stops including San Francisco, Columbus OH, and Detroit, curators Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher will take audiences on a guided tour of their latest and greatest VHS finds, providing live commentary and where-are-they-now updates on the people in these videotaped obscurities. From the curiously-produced industrial training video to the forsaken home movie donated to Goodwill, the Found Footage Festival resurrects these forgotten treasures ,and serves them up in a lively celebration of all things found.

Among the new clips that will be featured are:
• An exercise video montage featuring a Christmas-themed workout, a martial arts fitness regimen called "Tiger Moves," and a tape called "Butt Camp"
• Newly unearthed footage of the world's most obnoxious home shopping hosts, John & Johnny (c. 1987), and the long-awaited reunion orchestrated by the Found Footage Festival curators
• Exclusive footage of the Chef Keith news prank the curators pulled on news stations in the Midwest over the holidays.
Tickets are $10 for this one-night-only event, and can be purchased in advance at the UICA Guest Services desk. All attendees must be at least eighteen years of age to enter.
