Two weeks ago we got a very good sign as reports of flu-like symptoms reached their lowest levels since mid-December in West Michigan and across the entire state.

It seemed the end of flu season might be upon us.

Not just yet.

Another sharp decline in reports of flu-like symptoms last week could have effectively ended "flu season".  Instead, reports went up slightly in West Michigan.  Reports were also up across the state as a whole.

Current levels are about half of what they were at flu season's peak in Michigan, but still above what we would normally experience this time of year.  See the graph below to compare this flu season with a few others.
