flickr, Accidental Hedonist

A fight over a ham sandwich quickly escalated and led to the arrest of a Hastings man late last month.

According to FOX 17, the fight occurred on December 31 in Hastings and started out innocently enough. It all began with a verbal argument between Clifford Hall, 47, and his wife. Mr. Hall allegedly removed a piece of ham from his wife’s ham sandwich at lunch time. After arguing all day, Mrs. Hall states that Mr. Hall slapped her in the back of the head, which knocked her glasses off. He allegedly told her that she hadn’t been paying enough attention to him.

After the incident, Mr. Hall left the house. Police eventually caught up with him and arrested him on a domestic violence charge.
