We're just hitting April and Spring is trying to settle in. It's hard to believe that the Fifth Third River Bank Run is actually but six weeks away. The good news is, you don't have to be a runner to have fun and be involved with the run.

The River Bank Run folks are now recruiting volunteers for this year’s 39th race.  That's right, the 39th Annual Fifth Third River Bank Run, and it's happening this year on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in downtown Grand Rapids.

Their biggest need for the run is aid station volunteers on Saturday, May 14th, from 5:30am-11am. You'll be representing Gilda’s Club and supporting this great community event.

Now you're wondering, what does an Aid Station volunteer do. They setup tables, fill cups, distribute water, Gatorade and ice to participants and provide encouragement! Volunteers are also responsible to tear down the tables, gather supplies and clean up the area when finished. Clean up area includes surrounding area - anywhere the participants may have dropped cups.
