Fire damaged the West Michigan Whitecaps home park, Fifth Third Ballpark, on January 3.

The season began on April 8 while repairs on the first base concourse and suites continued.

Repairs are now complete and the new suites are open at Fifth Third Ballpark.

The Whitecaps were determined to move forward after the fire, which was started by a space heater. They made that clear from the start.

The rebuilding process was a major undertaking, but the season started on time and the project has been completed ahead of schedule.

WZZM 13 reports on the changes at Fifth Third Ballpark:

Fans were able to use the brand new right-field suites during Wednesday night's game.

Because of the damage, the Whitecaps were able to reconfigure the suites and reduced the number from 12 to nine.

That includes a super suite at the end, which is the size of three.

Congratulations to the Whitecaps on finishing the rebuild of Fifth Third Ballpark!
