“Extreme Makeover” Grand Rapids Centerpointe Mall Edition!

I live on the Southeast side of Grand Rapids; I moved here about 9 years ago.  I do most of my shopping at the Woodland Mall, actually I like Kohl's behind the mall an awful lot.  Why?  Because it is smaller and I can get in and out more quickly.  But neighbors have told me that Centerpointe Mall use to be the place to shop before the Woodland Mall moved in.  Well, some developers are going to try and bring back some of that same magic with a little makeover!

Centerpointe Mall will be converted into what is called a "power center."  What that means is all the stores will be outside, for easier access.  Some of the stores like TJ Maxx, David's Bridal and Men's Warehouse will be expanding or moving to another area in the "power center."  New stores will also be moving in, stores like Ulta, Rue21, Five Below, Dots, World Market, Sleep Number and the Vitamin Shoppe.  I don't know about you but I'm really starting to like the sound of this.....
