This morning economic experts looked at the year Grand Rapids had in 2013 and took a look ahead.

Both are looking good!

The Right Place and the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research gave presentations at the Amway Grand Plaza as part of The Right Place Inc.'s annual economic forecast.

WZZM13.com reports:

An economic analyst says 2013 was "a great year" for Grand Rapids and the New Year is also promising.

George Erickcek from the Upjohn institute made that declaration during Thursday's West Michigan Economic Outlook event. He pointed out the city's 2.4% increase in employment. And he's even more optimistic about the next two years.

"As we look to 2014, to 2015, we're expecting to see more growth."
