The addition of a biergarten, concert venue and more have been delayed at The B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids.

The B.O.B. was set to begin construction on the additions this fall.  Yesterday a change in plans was approved.  WZZM13.com reports:

Tuesday morning the Grand Rapids City Commission approved an agreement amendment allowing B.O.B owner Greg Gilmore time to review the plan and research financial feasibility.

Under the extension, Greg Gilmore has until August of 2014 to submit final plans for the development. He must also submit quarterly reports to the city about the project.

Thebob.com has more about the original plans which had been scheduled to be completed by June 1, 2014:

The multi-million dollar project will result in a new outdoor market and biergarten facing Van Andel Arena, new dining venues and a concert and event space capable of holding up to 2,500 people.

The new event and concert venue will be adaptable to changing seasonal and weather conditions.

The biergarten and piazza will have market kiosks for rent.

The project is delayed at least a year.  It's hard to say how or if the original plans may change.  Final plans are due in August 2014.
