Every pet need a home for the holidays.  The sad thing is, there are so many abandoned animals.

The Kent County Animal Shelter is trying to help.  They have taken in so many dogs and cats, either by surrender or actually abandoned, that they are overloaded. Over a years time, they receive more than 6,000.

Tomorrow, Saturday, December 7th, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., it's HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!  They want to empty the cages and hope to find a home for as many pets as possible.  The good news is the price.  Thanks to funding from the Bissell Pet Foundation, all cats are $5, and dogs are $50 (plus a $12 license fee).  All of the pets are current on shots, have been spayed or neutered and are micro chipped.  What a deal.

All prospective owners will be interviewed to make sure a good match is made.
