I had the most wonderful time yesterday at a luncheon at the Amway Grand Plaza for CASA.

Alright, you're asking "what is CASA?"    CASA is an acronym for Court Appointed Special Advocates. CASA -logo

CASA's focus is to serve abused and neglected children in child protective proceedings by appointing carefully screened and trained community volunteers to advocte in the best interest of children who are temporary or permanent words of the court.

We heard from some of the volunteers who are currently working with children and their heart-breaking stories of abuse and neglect, and, how they have been able to help the child and create some heart-warming success stories.

Judge Kathleen Feeney from Kent County Circuit Court-Family Division spoke of court proceedings and how the legal system is trying to help as well.

What a job.  What a need.  Bigger than anyone every imagines.  So many children need our help.

Will you.....can you.....HELP?

I'd love for you to learn more about CASA.  So, just follow the link.  It will be well worth your time.
