Strawberry Shorcake Fest for Kids

Kiwanis of North Grand Rapids brings the fifth annual Strawberry Shortcake Fest for Kids to downtown Grand Rapids.  The event will be held on Thursday, June 20, 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rosa Parks Circle.  The Kiwanis club members will dish out more than 500 strawberry to office workers, children and families over the Thursday lunch hour.  The large serving of shortcake, ice cream, strawberries, and real whipped cream is called the “works” all for a $5 donation.  Advance tickets are $4.  All food items are being donated by local businesses and the proceeds will benefit:

• DeVos Children’s Hospital
• Palmer Elementary School
• Kid’s Food Basket
• Grand Rapids Choral Academy
• Catherine’s Health Center
• Christmas Food Baskets
