This story was all over the news Friday, but in case you missed it, here it is.

A dangerous stunt being performed during a rehearsal for illusionist Criss Angel's new stage show went horribly wrong and a performer nearly died.

The Las Vegas Sun reported that during a practice run before the show at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut, escape artist Spencer Horsman -- who appeared on America's Got Talent -- got trapped inside a water tank that was suspended 30 feet above the stage. His hands were restrained and when it became clear that he couldn't get out, Angel ran onto the stage and climbed up metal chains to open the top of the tank and rescue Horsman.

The dramatic scene was caught on video. Horsman is said to be recovering and expects to return to the show tomorrow (Saturday), although it is not known if he plans to attempt the same stunt.
