Orange is the national color of hunger awareness.

Thousands of West Michigan area students, plus businesses and more, will wear orange on March 28 as they raise awareness with Kids' Food Basket.

Kids' Food Basket is also holding a video contest to promote childhood hunger awareness.

Anyone can participate in the contest. Schools, classrooms, businesses, and individuals are all welcome.

Your video can be about anything. It may tell a personal story, inspire or be fun. Whatever your video is about, it will help raise awareness of childhood hunger in West Michigan.

Once you've made your video post it online at Youtube, Vimeo, or a similar website, then send a link to socialmedia@kidsfoodbasket.org.

Use #ShineALight and #KFBGoOrange when you share your video across social media.

Videos must be submitted to socialmedia@kidsfoodbasket.org by Friday, March 21 to be eligible to win.

From March 24 - 27, Kids' Food Basket will share some of the videos on their Facebook page. Whichever video receives the most likes will be declared the winner.

The winner will be announced on March 27 and receives an orange surprise from Kids' Food Basket!

Get ready to record and have fun!
