It's been a rough week of bad news and unsettled weather. Now that the sun is back for the weekend, get yourself in the mood with this beautiful time lapse video of the north woods.

Wayne State University student and amateur phtographer Michael Tokarz took these photographs and pieced them together into one gorgeous time lapse video of some of Michigan's most scenic stops, including the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, the Porcupine Mountain State Wilderness Area and Isle Royale National Park.

It doesn't get any better than this here in Michigan. In the words of the immortal Gordon Lightfoot, 'in the shade of a maple tree, I'll say a prayer for the world out there'.

You can smell the DEET and camp fire from here.
