Elizabeth Taylor’s “Humorous” Final Request
There will never be another! When I was guest hosting on WZZM 13’s Take Five & Company on Wednesday I was telling Catherine Behrendt & Stephanie Webb that “I was born too late.” The era that Dame Elizabeth reigned in was one of my favorites. Men were men. Women were women. The glamour. The style. The fashion. Those black & white big screen movies with a great story to tell. The songs & music. Ahhh, send me off to dreamland once again.
Liz, was known to have had a wicked sense of humor. It was so, even in her passing. Her funeral service was scheduled to begin at 2 PM but at Miss Taylor’s request started late. She had left instructions that it was to begin at least 15 minutes later than publicly scheduled, with this announcement, ‘She even wanted to be late for her own funeral.'” Elizabeth Taylor was laid to rest near Michael Jackson at Forest Lawn Cemetary in Glendale.
