Downtown Grand Rapids Welcomes Central District Cyclery, A New Bicycle Shop!
A bike, is a bike, is a bike, is a bike, or is it? Apparently not! With all the new bicycle lanes popping up all over Grand Rapids city streets, city leaders are calling this new downtown bike shop "another spoke" in the city's wheel of re-development. A couple weeks ago Mayor George Heartwell cut the ribbon for Central District Cyclery, at 52 Monroe Center. You will be able to buy a bike and accessories, get repairs or even rent a bike for scenic cruising.
The owner of Central District Cyclery, Nate Phelps, was working in the greeting card business when he says he realized that his real passion was bicycles and he turned that dream into a reality!
