Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld will present a lecture at 4 p.m., today, Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.  The presentation, RUMSFELD’S RULES: LEADERSHIP LESSONS IN BUSINESS, POLITICS, WAR, AND LIFE, is also the title of his latest book, which provides and unprecedented insight into the leadership, management, strategy, and life – thinking that not only helped Rumsfeld lead the Pentagon in wartime, but earned him a reputation as one of America’s toughest and most effective CEO’s. Rumsfeld first gathered Rumsfeld’s rules as three-by-five cards in a shoebox and then typed up and circulated them informally over the years. These eminently nonpartisan rules have amused and enlightened presidents, business executives, chiefs of staff, foreign officials, diplomats, and members of Congress.
The event is free and sponsored by the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum. Books with an autographed bookplate are available for sale. Books must be purchased in the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum Store. Seating is limited and reservations are required. Reserve your seat by email to rsvp@38foundation.org or by calling 616-254-0396.
