Did Cops Really Need To Pepper Spray An 8 Year Old Boy?

The kid was threatening his teacher.  He was threatening other school mates.  The school calls the Police Department and they show up and pepper spray the 8 year old!  Really????  Big strong cops really couldn't contain an 8 year old boy.  Really???  This is an unbelievably sad story to me.  The boy was already dealing with anger issues and receiving counseling for them.  So that's how you attack anger, with more terror and force?  I understand the teacher's fear.  I understand the students fear.  What I don't understand is a cop feeling threatened enough by an 8 year old kid to pepper spray him.  Shame on them...
