Detroit has changed immensely over the last century.  Factories opened and closed, the population jumped from 500,000 to 1.8 million and then back down to 700,000, and skyscrapers have risen and then left abandoned.

It's hard to get a grasp on how much the city has actually changed over the years. When you walk some of the dilapidated streets it's almost impossible to imagine the storefronts not boarded up and the streets not empty. That is until the YouTube Channel 'Cities in Flux' released their latest video that features Detroit.

Cities in Flux takes historical footage of major cities around the country and transposes it with current footage of the city.  Cities in Flux has also made films for Boston, New York City, and Los Angeles.
