Democratic Political Strategist Al From Speaking at Ford Museum Tonight

Al From, Democratic political strategist who in the 1980’s helped lead the Democratic party to victory after a decade out of power, will speak at an event hosted by the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation and Museum tonight, May 20. His presentation, What’s Missing in Presidential Politics, will include a discussion of his new book, The New Democrats and the Return to Power. From helped lead the Democrats in regaining the White House by organizing the Democratic Leadership Council in 1984.

“One of the Foundation’s goals is to invite speakers that exemplify extraordinary public service,” said Red Cavaney, Chairman, Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation. “It’s an honor to host a leader whose innovative spirit helped turn the course of a political party.”

Al From will be speaking at 7 p.m.
