A deer crashed through a window and into a Ludington motel room on Wednesday.

Deer are on the move this time of year across Michigan and sometimes they find their way into unusual places.

Ludington Police and the U.S. Forest Service responded to a report of a deer trapped in a room at the Viking Arms Inn in Ludington around 1:30 pm on Wednesday.

Police blocked traffic while a USFS officer attempted to usher the doe out of the room.

The doe made a run through the open door and appeared to make it off safely.
