Listen to the interview by clicking on the green link above!  Yesterday I had Rick Jenkins and Judy Knapp, from Davenport University, on the air with me to talk about a free tax preparation service Davenport University is providing for the community.  With so many people still unemployed and underemployed Davenport once again is stepping in to help out.

Davenport University students are offering free tax preparation services to families earning less than $50,000 including the elderly, the disabled, people who have difficulty speaking  English as a first language, plus rural and Native American taxpayers.  ***Also those individuals earning less than $20,000 can receive help for free through this program.

A number of colleges including Davenport, of course, Aquinas, Cornerstone, GRCC and Hope College students also participate in this Davenport University tax assistance program.

The program gives accounting students the opportunity to give back to the Grand Rapids community while at the same time gain real world experience.  It's a win/win for everyone!  Find out what you need to bring along and take advantage of this FREE service that Davenport University is providing!

A list of locations and times can be found here.
