In January, former Catholic Central High School tutor Abigail Simon was sentenced to eight to 25 years in prison for having a sexual relationship with a student.

WOOD-TV reports Dateline will feature the story on June 4.

Simon was found guilty on three felony counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one felony count of accosting a minor for immoral purposes.

Simon claimed that the 15-year-old boy initiated the relationship and threatened her with violence. Prosecutors called Simon's claims the “theater of the absurd."

Simon was 33 at the time of the crimes.

The episode featuring the case will air on NBC at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 4.
