Basketball is everywhere in March...and everyone loves an underdog.

D.C. from Crash's Landing has been fighting the odds for a long time.

It's time for D.C. to come out a winner!

Crash's Landing is a non-profit, no-kill cat rescue center.  Since opening in Grand Rapids in 2002, Crash's Landing has helped over 2,500 cats, but there is still work to be done.

Every Friday is Purrrfect Friday on 100.5 The River.  We feature a cat from Crash's Landing that needs a home.  This week we're spotlighting D.C..

D.C. was found in Detroit near 8 Mile and I-75.  That's where his name comes from "D.C."  = Detroit City.

D.C. was brought to a shelter in Brighton, but once he tested positive for FIV, they needed to find a new home for him.  Enter Crash's Landing.

D.C. joined Crash's Landing on June 19, 2012.  Crash's Landing immediately gave him all the treatment he needed including treatment for ear mites, a tooth extraction, and an infection.

D.C.'s list of compliments from Crash's Landing is probably about the longest we've ever seen.  Here's a sample:  "adorable", "gentlest of giants", "social butterfly", "loves people", and there's much more.

Needless to say, D.C. would make an excellent addition to ANY family!

Can you adopt D.C.?
